The Products for Research PR-302 and PR-305 shutter assemblies are designed to provide a light tight mechanically operated closure for the input end of Products for Research optoelectronic device housings and coolers. The sliding light tight plunger actuates a black out disk traveling in an offset track which causes positive pressure against an 'o' ring when fully closed. The shutter body is constructed of nickel plated aluminum to insure proper grounding to the housing or cooler and thereby insure RFI shielding integrity when used in systems requiring this. A variant of the model PR302 with a 3 inch (76 mm) aperature is also available as model PR-315.	The PR310 shutter assembly provides a normally closed electronically activated shutter. Its mounting configuration is the same as the PR302, and adapters are available to accommodate other hole patterns. The PR318 shutter assembly is designed to mount to the 2.5 inch (63.5 mm) hole pattern of the PR1401RF housing for 1 inch (28 mm) end on PMT's. Its method of operation is the same as the PR305 and PR302. In addition to these stand alone Shutter Assemblies, Products for Research also provides housings with integral shutter assemblies, such as the PR1405RF, the PR1123 and the PR1125.
